Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen's record vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole looks at Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen's goalscoring record against Chelsea ahead of Wednesday's Premier League game.

Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to Chelsea on Wednesday night looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino had hoped to heap the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City last weekend, but the North London outfit succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at Burnley.

Spurs are now six points adrift of Liverpool, while there is just a seven-point gap between themselves and fierce rivals Arsenal.

Ahead of this week's meeting, Sports Mole assesses how Christian Eriksen has fared in his previous games against Chelsea.

Eriksen has endured a mixed time against Chelsea, with just five wins and three draws coming from his 14 outings against the Blues.

Nevertheless, as many as 15 points have come from games in the Premier League, with the Dane contributing two goals and five assists.

The Dane's best moment arguably came last April with the playmaker scoring a stunning long-range strike in the 3-1 triumph at Stamford Bridge.

That said, Eriksen has twice contributed two assists in top-flight fixtures, although each of those matches came in front of the club's own supporters.

Eriksen also contributed two assists in the FA Cup semi-finals in 2017, but Spurs went on to suffer a 4-2 defeat.
