Chelsea complete an astounding domestic treble and unbeaten season in England with a 3-0 victory over Manchester United in Sunday's Women's FA Cup final at Wembley.

A captivating Chelsea Women's side completed an astounding domestic treble and unbeaten season in England with a 3-0 victory over defending champions Manchester United Women in Sunday's FA Cup final at Wembley.

One day after Crystal Palace's famous 1-0 win over Manchester City in the men's final, Man United sought to avoid suffering the same fate as their nemeses as they took the contest by the scruff of the neck early doors.

However, Marc Skinner's side failed to truly trouble Hannah Hampton, and the Red Devils were then undone by one moment of madness late in the first half, as Celin Bizet inexplicably caught Erin Cuthbert in the midriff with a high leg inside the area.

Sandy Baltimore coolly sent Phallon Tullis-Joyce the wrong way to put the Women's Super League champions a goal to the good in the 45th minute, which triggered the introduction of Ella Toone for the second half.

Man United looked a more dangerous proposition with the Euro 2022 hero on the field, but their lack of a cutting edge continued to bedevil them, and Sonia Bompastor's side taught them an attacking lesson in the dying embers to end the match as a contest.

With 84 minutes gone, Baltimore turned provider for Catarina Macario to head home the Blues' second goal from a free kick, before the former rifled in her second and Chelsea's third in the first of 10 added minutes.

A sixth Women's FA Cup title for Chelsea adds to the WSL and Women's League Cup crowns they claimed earlier this season, and Bompastor's all-conquering Blues remarkably end the campaign without suffering a single defeat in any domestic competition.
