Bob Peeters hopeful of keeping Andy Delort deal alive

Peeters hopeful of Delort deal

Charlton Athletic manager Bob Peeters has refused to dismiss the possibility of signing Andy Delort this summer.

Delort was reported to be close to securing a move to the Championship club after agreeing terms, but Tours have so far resisted the temptation to sell their 22-year-old striker.

"It's good that he wants to play for Charlton," Peeters told reporters. "I love players who want to come and play for us.

"Andy Delort is an interesting player, but at this moment he is still playing for Tours.

"I think something between the two clubs [is being discussed]. I hear a lot of rumours, but then again everyday another team comes in to sign him."

Delort has criticised Tours for their failure to sanction the move.
