Neil Lennon still after forward despite Anthony Stokes's goals for Celtic

Lennon still after frontman

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that he still wants to bring in a striker to replace Gary Hooper, despite today's match-winning brace from Anthony Stokes.

After Darren Maatsen had given Ross County an early lead in today's Scottish Premiership opener, Stokes netted either side of half time to get the Bhoys' league campaign off to a winning start.

When asked after the match if he was still searching for a replacement for Hooper, who joined Premier League outfit Norwich City last month, Lennon told Sky Sports News: "We are looking to add to that area, we've lost our leading goalscorer for the last three seasons.

"But Stokes is a very underrated striker, he's worth his weight in gold. If you look at the assists he has as well, it's very impressive."

Sports Mole recently suggested five potential replacements for Hooper, although Charlie Austin has now left Burnley for Queens Park Rangers, the club that Hooper himself almost joined.
