Celtic revive interest in Club Brugge defender Brandon Mechele?

Celtic have reportedly switched their attention back to Club Brugge defender Brandon Mechele as Virgil van Dijk's future remains uncertain.

The Scottish giants are said to have been knocked back in April when they attempted to discuss Mechele's availability.

However, according to the Daily Record, Hoops boss Ronny Deila is keen to reconsider a £3m move for the defender, but a transfer is not expected to happen until after Brugge play Manchester United in their Champions League qualifier next week.

Van Dijk has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League sides Southampton and Everton.
