Celtic ease past Kilmarnock

Improving Scottish Premiership champions Celtic ease past Kilmarnock 2-0 thanks to goals from John Guidetti and Stefan Scepovic.

Celtic eased past Kilmarnock 2-0 thanks to goals from John Guidetti and Stefan Scepovic this afternoon.

Manuel Pascali was shown a straight red card for hauling down Scepovic as he went through on goal and Guidetti compounded Kilmarnock's misery moments later.

The Swede fired home the resulting free kick to give Ronny Deila's side the lead on 34 minutes at Parkhead.

The lively Guidetti nearly had his second of the evening five minutes before the break, but his swerving effort deflected just wide.

The Scottish Premiership champions extended their advantage shortly after the hour mark when Scepovic steered home Wakaso's cross.
