Cardiff City 'close to signing Preston North End defender Greg Cunningham'

Cardiff City are reportedly close to completing a deal for Preston North End left-back Greg Cunningham.

The 27-year-old has one year left on his contract and could seek a move to a Premier League club following an impressive campaign for Alex Neil's side.

According to Wales Online, Cardiff have agreed a fee approaching £4m for the player, with three further Bluebird signings imminent.

The recently-promoted side have already splashed £11m on Norwich City winger Josh Murphy, who scored 11 goals for the Canaries last season.

The 23-year-old made 108 appearances for the Championship club, scoring 20 goals.
