The first chance of the game fell to Derby's Chris Martin after just two minutes, but his left-footed effort from outside the box went wide.

A couple of minutes later Ben Turner almost put the home side in the lead when he headed Craig Conway's corner towards goal, but his attempt went over the crossbar.

Craig Forsyth's shot from distance on 10 minutes failed to find the target, as clear-cut chances proved hard to come by as the first half progressed.

Tommy Smith had the first chance in the second half on 56 minutes, but his right-footed shot from outside the box went wide.

Conor Sammon stunned the home crowd on 75 minutes when he put Derby in the lead, turning home Ben Davies's pass.
