Malaysian second-tier outfit Kedah have denied rumours that controversial Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan demanded them to change their club crest.
The Far East side recently changed their logo's colours from green and yellow to red, with reports claiming that this came as a caveat to a two million ringgit (£371,726) investment by Tan.
"We did not change the logo or colour according to our own taste or fancy but it was part of a transformation that KFA will be undergoing for the development of football in the state," the club's honorary secretary Aminuddin Omar told Bernama.
The change in club logo is similar to what Malaysian businessman Tan employed at Cardiff, who now play in red despite protests by supporters of the Welsh side who are known as the Bluebirds.
