Burnley defender Luke Conlan joins St Mirren on loan

Burnley defender Luke Conlan has joined St Mirren on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old is awaiting international clearance before he can face Berwick in the Scottish Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Conlan signed a new deal with Burnley last summer after initially being released by the club at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.

Burnley continued their pre-season schedule on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over Rangers at Ibrox Stadium.
