Duff pens one-year contract extension

Michael Duff has agreed to extend his Burnley career by a further year, having signed a new short-term deal at Turf Moor.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche recently revealed that the 37-year-old, who is currently 15th in the club's all-time appearance makers list, was in his plans for the coming season.

Duff featured 21 times for Burnley in their Premier League campaign last term, impressing enough to earn a fresh contract to keep him in place for a 12th season.

Fellow defender Steven Reid announced his playing retirement in May following a succession of injuries.
