Burnley have reportedly set their sights on signing Swansea City and Wales right-back Connor Roberts.
The 25-year-old enjoyed his best-ever goal contribution season for the Swans during the 2020-21 campaign, as he chipped in with five goals and seven assists for Steve Cooper's side.
Roberts's physical attributes were praised by Cooper on many occasions throughout the season, as he was an ever-present for the Championship club, featuring in all 46 league games.
After a disappointing end to the season with Swansea, who lost in the playoff final to Brentford, Roberts continued his good form for Wales in Euro 2020 and netted his first goal at a major international tournament against Turkey.
The Daily Mail reports that Sean Dyche's side had considered a move for Everton's Jonjoe Kenny but the Welsh international is expected to be a cheaper option for the Clarets, as Roberts only has one year remaining on his contract at the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea City's players are expected to return to pre season training this weekend, but Roberts will have to await the status of a groin injury he picked up in Wales' defeat to Denmark on Saturday.
The full-back joined the Swans in his early childhood, and since making his first-team debut in 2018, he has gone on to make 152 appearances for the club.
