Sean Dyche: 'Swansea City lucky to beat Burnley'

Burnley manager Sean Dyche bemoans his side's bad luck as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Swansea City on their return to the Premier League on Saturday.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has bemoaned his side's bad luck in their 1-0 defeat to Swansea City on their return to the Premier League on Saturday.

A tap-in from Leroy Fer was the difference as the Swans started their league campaign with a narrow victory over last season's Championship winners.

"I thought it was a close game," Dyche said. "They were a little bit fortunate to go 1-0 up with the chances we created and the whole feel of the game, but they are a recognised Premier League side and they've got some very good Premier League players and very experienced players.

"There's a know-how with the Premier League when you've been there for many years but we've got to grow into that and learn from things that happen to us like today.

"We've given a good account of ourselves and it was a close game but they've [Premier League opposition] come out on top and that [situation] has happened too many times."

Burnley's next Premier League game is at home against Liverpool next Saturday.
