Sean Dyche plays down Danny Ings England talk

Burnley boss Sean Dyche believes that speculation linking Danny Ings with an England call-up has come too soon.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has stated his belief that speculation linking Danny Ings with an England call-up has come too soon.

The striker scored both goals in the 2-1 win at Stoke City on Saturday, as the Clarets picked up their second victory of the Premier League season.

Some observers have suggested that Ings could make the step up to international level in the near future.

"I think it's a little bit premature for that," Dyche told The Telegraph. "He's still developing, he's learning. He's getting good exposure in terms of game time.

"We all know there's a massive debate about English players playing in the Premier League. This can only do him good. The rest will take care of itself."

Ings has scored three goals in 10 appearances this season.
