Jack Cork happy to be at "stable" Burnley

New Burnley midfielder Jack Cork speaks of his relief at being with a "stable" club following a tumultuous last season at Swansea City.

Burnley midfielder Jack Cork has admitted that he is happy to be playing at a "stable" side following a tumultuous time at Swansea City last term.

The 28-year-old moved to Sean Dyche's side last month on a four-year deal, thought to be worth up to £10m, after two-and-a-half years at the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans had a difficult season in the Premier League and were under the stewardship of three different managers before being steered to safety in the final few weeks of the campaign.

"It was tough with the change of managers at Swansea, it did affect us last year," Cork told talkSPORT.

"They probably made the right decisions with the managers in the end but it did affect us. It's good to come to a stable club with the manager here. The board and players trust him and enjoy working with him.

"Everyone has seen things in the way he does things and how he works. Trust in him has paid off and he's shown what a good manager he can be."

Cork is in line to make his competitive debut for his new side on Saturday when they travel to champions Chelsea for the first game of the new season.
