Half-Time Report: Burnley and Leeds United tied at the interval

Burnley, Leeds tied at the interval

Burnley and Leeds United go into the interval at 0-0 following a forgettable 45 minutes of football at Turf Moor.

The hosts threatened early on with chances falling to Ross Wallace and Dean Marney, but neither could find a way past Paddy Kenny in the away goal.

El-Hadji Diouf was Leeds's biggest threat in the first half, and his vicious strike in the 13th minute might have drawn first blood had it not been blocked.

Burnley could have snatched a lead just before the half-hour mark. Martin Paterson found space to shoot, but failed to trouble Kenny.

Diouf continued to looked dangerous, but the Burnley defence utilised the offside trap to their full advantage to keep the scores level at the break.
