Wednesday's Championship predictions including Burnley vs. Stoke

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Burnley vs. Stoke.

Promotion-chasing Burnley will be looking to get back on the winning track when they welcome an inconsistent Stoke City to Turf Moor on Wednesday.

Vincent Kompany's side conceded a disappointing, last-gasp equaliser at managerless Cardiff City on Saturday, while the Potters suffered a damaging 4-0 defeat at home to Watford.

We say: Burnley 3-1 Stoke City

Flying full-backs and a firing front line, a return to Turf Moor should help Burnley to recover from another last-minute equaliser conceded on the weekend.

Against a Stoke City side who were in disarray on Saturday, we expect the Clarets to get the job done reasonably comfortably.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Hull City vs. Wigan (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Hull City host Wigan Athletic at the MKM Stadium in Championship action on Wednesday, with the home side hoping to put their five-game losing streak to an end.

Wigan come into the game with three wins in their last four and will have their eyes set on another victory to help them in their push for the playoffs.

We say: Hull City 0-2 Wigan Athletic

Hull have struggled in recent weeks, sitting just one point clear of the relegation zone and without a goal in their last four matches.

With Wigan having the best away record in the league, we expect them to continue their good run here and win in reasonably comfortable fashion.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Middlesbrough vs. Birmingham (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Life without Chris Wilder begins for Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night as the managerless Championship strugglers host Birmingham City.

Wilder was sacked by the club on Monday with Boro sitting in the relegation zone, three points behind a Birmingham side who will be looking to continue their recent uptick in form in this game.

We say: Middlesbrough 1-1 Birmingham City

Middlesbrough have not started the season how they would have liked, but to their credit they have a decent home record and have notched decent home wins against Sunderland and Swansea.

However, despite the possibility of a new manager bounce, after recent form we do not think they will have enough to win the game, particularly with Birmingham being on a decent run.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Rotherham vs. Millwall (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Rotherham United will have a new face in the dugout when they welcome Millwall to the New York Stadium for their clash in the Championship on Wednesday night.

The Millers fell to defeat in their first game since manager Paul Warne left to join Derby County during the international break.

We say: Rotherham United 1-1 Millwall

There have been just three goals in the last four fixtures between these sides, and there is not much to suggest that a glut of goals is on the cards this time around either when going off recent form.

Life after Paul Warne is unclear at this present moment for Rotherham and incoming manager Matt Taylor, so a draw here may be a good result for the Millers given the circumstances, and despite Millwall's shaky away form.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Watford vs. Swansea (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Watford play host to Swansea City on Wednesday evening looking to build on their 4-0 victory over Stoke City in Slaven Bilic's opening game in charge.

At a time when the Hornets sit in seventh position in the Championship standings, Swansea are in 11th spot, albeit only two points adrift of their hosts.

We say: Watford 2-1 Swansea City

Despite their emphatic victory on Sunday, Watford now go up against a team who can claim to be a side very much on the up. Nevertheless, we still feel that the Hornets will do enough to get another three points on the board, giving the board further satisfaction after their decision to make a change in the dugout.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Preston vs. West Brom (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Preston North End play host to West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday evening looking to end a four-match winless streak in the Championship.

While Preston currently occupy 14th position in the standings, West Brom are down in 21st place with Steve Bruce fighting to retain his job at The Hawthorns.

We say: Preston North End 1-0 West Bromwich Albion

Everything points to this contest being a low-scoring affair, especially with both clubs desperate for a win and to avoid defeat in equal measure. Despite their lack of goals, we feel that Preston's extra defensive resoluteness should help them to maximum points at Deepdale.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
