Preview: Watford vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Sports Mole previews the Championshp clash between in-form Watford and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Watford will be attempting to extend their unbeaten run to five matches when they host Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship at the weekend.

The Hornets made a bright start under newly-appointed manager Billy McKinlay, who took charge at Vicarage Road following Oscar Garcia's recent health scare, which forced him to quit his post.

Watford clinched a 2-1 win over Brentford during the last league match earlier this week, leaving them third in the table, level on points with league leaders Norwich City.

The home side will be without Daniel Pudil after he was sent off for two bookings in their last match, but McKinlay has an otherwise full squad to choose from.

Meanwhile, Brighton are without a win in their last six outings, having drawn three in a row in the league, leaving them 19th in the table.

The Seagulls shared a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City earlier this week, meaning that the club has not won in the Championship since beating Bolton Wanderers on August 23.

Craig Mackail-Smith lasted less than an hour against the Welsh side after struggling with an injury which could limit his involvement this weekend.

However, there are no other new concerns for Sami Hyypia's side as they prepare for their trip to Vicarage Park.

Last season, Watford won their home match against Brighton, and shared a draw in the reverse fixture.
