Joe Bennett frustrated with draw after netting first Brighton & Hove Albion goal

On-loan Aston Villa defender Joe Bennett is frustrated after his first goal for Brighton & Hove Albion is only enough to earn a point against Rotherham United.

Joe Bennett has conceded that Brighton & Hove Albion's performance against Rotherham United at the Amex Stadium yesterday was not good enough.

The on-loan Aston Villa left-back put the home side ahead on the cusp of half-time with his first goal for the Seagulls, but was frustrated with the end result.

"I was obviously happy to get my first goal for Brighton but we should have got the three points," Bennett told The Argus.

"The performance wasn't good enough. All the lads were disappointed, as well as the fans. It was very frustrating to come in with a 1-1 draw.

"It's not a nice feeling to have gone ten games without a win. The fans are frustrated and the players are the same. We say it every week that we need to be beating teams and getting three points."

Manager Sami Hyypia maintains that he is not under pressure from the Brighton board despite his side's 10-match winless streak in the Championship.
