Brighton & Hove Albion captain Gordon Greer has praised the club's fans following their 3-0 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

A record 26,594 supporters filled the Amex Stadium on Friday night to watch the Seagulls go to the top of the Championship table.

"The fans were unbelievable, that was great to play in front of that crowd, the lads want that every week," said Greer.

"[It] feels great to be top of the league, it's what we've worked hard for, but we're not getting carried away."
