Former Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Oscar Garcia has returned to previous club Maccabi Tel Aviv, just a year after he resigned from the Israeli outfit.

The 41-year-old Spaniard left his post at Brighton after losing out to Derby County in the Championship playoffs following a top-six finish.

Despite being linked with high-profile jobs in the UK at the likes of Southampton and Celtic, Garcia has decided to return to Israel.

In his one and only previous season in charge of Tel Aviv in 2012-13, he guided them to a first league title in 10 years.

They also won the title last season and Garcia will now have a chance to manage in the Champions League next season after signing a two-year contract.
