Dean Smith praises Brentford "resilience"

Dean Smith praises his Brentford side's determination after a late strike from Kenwyne Jones hands Cardiff City all three points in Wales.

Brentford manager Dean Smith has hailed his side's determination after they lost 3-2 in the Championship at Cardiff City.

The Bees battled back from two goals down only to come undone as Kenwyne Jones grabbed a winner for the hosts in the third minute of stoppage time.

"To go in two goals down was disappointing to say the least," Smith told Bees Player after the final whistle. "You can't go and concede goals like we did and win games.

"We showed a lot of character, a lot of resilience. The changes had an impact but we had it snatched from us at the death."

The win edges Cardiff to one point from the playoffs, while Brentford are five adrift of the top six in 10th.
