Brentford defender Kristoffer Ajer has signed a new long-term deal with the Premier League club.
Ajer has recently been linked with a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium, with Wolfsburg among those mentioned as his potential suitors.
However, the Bees made it crystal clear that they had no intention of parting ways with Ajer anytime soon.
The West London club have now backed up that stance by securing Ajer’s long-term future with a new contract.
Ajer has put pen to paper on fresh terms until the summer of 2030, with an option for the club to extend by a further year.

Ajer makes "best club" claim following contract renewal
"I'm really, really delighted," Ajer told the club’s official website. "It's a club where I've spent four and a half years of my career now, and I'm super happy to extend my stay here.
"The players, the backroom staff, and the whole club just feel like a real family for me, so being able to stay for four more years is really good."
Ajer further provided high praise for the Bees, claiming that it is the “best club” to be at on a daily basis.
"I've said it before, and I really mean it: this is probably the best club in the world from Monday to Friday!” Ajer added.
"I look forward to driving in every day. I drive in with a smile on my face, knowing that I'm going to see so many friends and so many people striving to be better. It's a group of players that I really love spending time with.
"I want to keep developing and keep helping the people around me become better, too. I want to keep making the culture at Brentford as good as it's been since I came here. A lot of players are pushing really hard to keep those standards.
"That's something that you can never take for granted, and something I want to work on every single day I'm at this football club."
How important is Ajer to Brentford?
Ajer has made 113 competitive appearances since he joined Brentford from Celtic in the summer of 2021.
The 27-year-old made 12 starts in 16 top-flight outings this term, including in each of Brentford’s last five matches, demonstrating his importance to Bees boss Keith Andrews.
Ajer’s versatility also makes him a useful asset to Brentford, boasting the ability to play at right or left-back, as well as his preferred position as a central defender.
