Schade among five changes: Predicted Brentford XI vs. Man City

Brentford head coach Keith Andrews will be boosted by the return of Kevin Schade for Wednesday's EFL Cup quarter-final against Manchester City at the Etihad.

The German attacker was consigned to a watching brief in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League, having incurred a one-match ban for accumulating five yellow cards.

Schade is now refreshed and raring to go for the clash with the Citizens, where he could be one of five alterations to the side that started against Leeds, who dominated the Bees in terms of Expected Goals and shots on Sunday.

Schade and Mikkel Damsgaard should be straight swaps for Keane Lewis-Potter and Mathias Jensen in attack, although Dango Ouattara and Igor Thiago - who was largely anonymous at the weekend - should be retained.

Now the oldest Premier League goalscorer in Brentford history, Jordan Henderson will likely hold his spot in midfield for a clash of this magnitude, but it would not be a surprise to see Yehor Yarmoliuk displace Vitaly Janelt in the double pivot.

Aaron Hickey lasted just over an hour at left-back against Leeds, so Rico Henry and Kristoffer Ajer may go head-to-head to replace him, but the former did not cover himself in glory for Dominic Calvert-Lewin's equaliser at the weekend.

Andrews must also decide whether to stick with cup goalkeeper Hakon Valdimarsson or rely on number one Caoimhin Kelleher, but the former has started wins over Bournemouth and Aston Villa this season and has therefore earned his chance to guard the Etihad sticks.

Brentford possible starting lineup:

Valdimarsson; Kayode, Collins, Van den Berg, Henry; Henderson, Yarmoliuk; Ouattara, Damsgaard, Schade; Thiago
