Team News: Willian keeps spot in Brazil attack

Willian keeps spot in Brazil attack

Chelsea's Willian has kept his position in the Brazil attack for Monday's last-16 clash with Mexico at the 2018 World Cup.

Willian once again joins Gabriel Jesus and Neymar in the final third of the field, but a back problem for Marcelo means that Filipe Luis will start at left-back for the Selecao.

Danilo is fit for Brazil after overcoming a thigh problem, but Fagner is given the nod at right-back.

As for Mexico, their headline team news is a start for 39-year-old Rafael Marquez in the middle of midfield. Miguel Layun is the player to drop out - leaving Javier Hernandez, Carlos Vela and Hirving Lozano in attack.

Hector Moreno's suspension, meanwhile, sees Hugo Ayala return to the team in central defence.

Brazil: Alisson; Fagner, Silva, Miranda, Luis; Casemiro, Coutinho, Paulinho; Willian, Jesus, Neymar Subs: Fernandinho, Augusto, Geromel, Marcelo, Marquinhos, Cassio, Fred, Firmino, Taison, Ederson, Danilo

Mexico: Ochoa; Gallardo, Ayala, Salcedo, Alvarez; Guardado, Herrera, Marquez; Vela, Hernandez, Lozano Subs: Jose Corona, Gutierrez, J dos Santos, Layun, Fabian, Jimenez, G dos Santos, Talavera, Jesus Corona, Peralta, Aquino
