Brazil to open against Croatia

Hosts Brazil will face Croatia in the opening match of the 2014 World Cup after the two sides were pitted together in this afternoon's draw.

The match will take in Sao Paulo on Thursday, June 12.

The two sides met in the group stages of the 2006 competition in Germany, where Brazil prevailed 1-0.

Luiz Felipe Scolari's side will also face Mexico and Cameroon in Group A.
