Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Club Friendlies 1 clash between Braga and Bournemouth, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

The Cherries began their pre-season schedule with a win over Sheffield Wednesday, while Braga have already recorded four friendly victories ahead of Tuesday's contest.

Despite finishing in fourth place last season, Carlos Carvalhal decided to bring his second spell as Braga head coach to an end.

While the 56-year-old departed to take over as Al Wahda manager in the UAE Pro League, Braga appointed Artur Jorge as Carvalhal's successor.

Jorge has spent the last five years with the club in various roles, including a five-game spell as head coach at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Ahead of his first full season in charge of the club, Jorge has already had four games to run the rule over his side, with all four friendlies ending in victory.

Andre Horta netted a brace in their most recent outing as Braga eased to a 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough, and they will be hoping to get the better of English opposition once again on Tuesday.

After returning to the Premier League at the first attempt, Bournemouth are looking forward to reacquainting themselves with top-flight football.

The Cherries began their preparations for the upcoming campaign with a 2-1 victory over League One side Sheffield Wednesday.

Lewis Cook opened the scoring in Friday's friendly meeting with the Owls before last season's top scorer Dominic Solanke doubled the advantage in the second half.

After beginning pre-season with a victory, Scott Parker will be keen to see how his side fares against a team that reached the Europa League quarter-finals last season.

Once they negotiate Tuesday's match, Bournemouth will continue their preparations with friendlies against Bristol City and Real Sociedad.

Team News

Jorge made wholesale changes in the second half against Middlesbrough in a bid to give his squad minutes, and the Braga boss is expected to continue to share the playing time among his team on Tuesday.

Sikou Niakate arrived on loan this summer, and the defender could come into the side to form a centre-back partnership with Tormena.

Last season's top scorer, Ricardo Horta will be aiming to provide a goal threat for his side when he starts in midweek.

As for Bournemouth, Scott Parker named two different lineups for either half of the win over Sheffield Wednesday, and the English side could adopt the same strategy on Tuesday.

Joe Rothwell and Ryan Fredericks have joined the club this summer, and the new arrivals could both start the friendly against Braga.

After scoring at the weekend, Solanke is set to lead the line for the Cherries, with the forward aiming to take his form from the Championship into the Premier League this season.

Braga possible starting lineup:
Matheus; Silva, Tormena, Niakate, Sequeira; Gorby, A. Horta; Medeiros, R. Horta, Gomes; Gonzalez

Bournemouth possible starting lineup:
Travers; Fredericks, Mepham, Kelly, Zemura; Rothwell, Pearson; Christie, Marcondes, Anthony; Solanke

We say: Braga 2-2 Bournemouth

Bournemouth were involved in a closely-fought contest against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, and we expect more of the same on Tuesday, with both sides playing their part in a score draw.
