Bournemouth lineup vs. Leicester: Predicted XI for final Premier League game of 2024-25

Leicester City are set to be without at least five players for their final Premier League fixture of the 2024-25 season against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Abdul Fatawu (knee), Mads Hermansen (hernia), Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Stephy Mavididi (both muscle) all remain sidelined with injuries, while club legend Jamie Vardy has chosen not to participate after scoring his 200th goal on his 500th and final appearance for the Foxes in a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town last weekend.

In the absence of Vardy, either Patson Daka or Jordan Ayew could start as the central striker. The latter started in the number 10 role last time out, but if he is chosen to lead the line on Sunday, Facundo Buonanotte could be recalled to start in the advanced midfield role.

Fifteen-year-old Jeremy Monga will be hoping to force his way back into Ruud van Nistelrooy's starting lineup and is set to battle with Kasey McAteer for a place on the right flank, while Bilal El Khannouss is the most likely candidate to operate on the left.

Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumare could continue in the heart of midfield, although Oliver Skipp will be pushing to start ahead of either player, while Ricardo Pereira will compete with James Justin for a start at right-back.

While Jakub Stolarczyk will continue between the sticks in the absence of Hermansen, Conor Coady, Wout Faes and Luke Thomas are all in contention to retain their starting spots in defence, the latter two may face competition from Caleb Okoli and Victor Kristiansen, though.
