Leicester City travelled to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth with an unbeaten record in the Premier League this season and sitting second in the table.

However, it was Eddie Howe's side that dominated much of the game and took the lead through Callum Wilson's acrobatic overhead kick in the first half.

The Foxes fought back though and levelled the game late on through Jamie Vardy's penalty to keep their unbeaten record alive.

Read how it all unfolded in our minute-by-minute live commentary below.

Good afternoon, and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of today's clash between Premier League newcomers Bournemouth and high-flying Leicester City. Lets get straight to the team news.

BOURNEMOUTH STARTING XI: Boruc, Francis, Elphick, Cook, Daniels, Ritchie, O'Kane, Surman, Gradel, Tomlin, Wilson.

BOURNEMOUTH SUBS: Federici, Distin, Smith, Mings, MacDonad, Pugh, Kermorgant.

LEICESTER CITY STARTING XI: Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Huth, Schlupp, Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, King, Albrighton, Vardy.

LEICESTER CITY SUBS: Schwarzer, Okazaki, Ulloa, Fuchs, Benalouane, Inler, Dodoo.

So, the big news for Bournemouth fans is that new signing Lee Tomlin is handed his first Premier League start. However, Leicester City supporters will have to wait a bit longer for a glimpse of their new man as Gokhan Inler is only named among Claudio Ranieri's substitutes.

Bournemouth go into this game having scored eight goals in their last two games - including Callum Wilson's hat-trick in the win over West Ham United a week ago. However, Leicester currently sit second in the table after their unbeaten start to the season. Something has to give here this afternoon. We could be in for a thriller!

The history books suggest we could be in for a tight encounter, too. In fact, all eight league games between these two sides have been won by a single goal.

While we're looking at the form book, you shouldn't be surprised if we have a penalty here at Dean Court this afternoon. The Cherries have won 17 penalties since the start of last season, three more than any other club in the top four divisions.

The Foxes are on a run of their own, however. A win today would see them a set a new club top-flight record of 10 points after the first four matches of a season. With Riyad Mahrez in such devastating form - the Algerian midfielder has scored six goals in his last six Premier League appearances - they'll be confident of upsetting Eddie Howe's men.

Claudio Ranieri is enjoying life with Leicester. After chalking up two wins and revealing his love for Kasabian, the Italian tinkerman has been in reflective mood in the build up to today's clash. "There is a good poem by Rudyard Kipling that says to treat winning and losing the same. It's good to stay in the middle," Ranieri told reporters. Lets hope he still feels that way at full time today.

PREDICTION With kickoff only about 25 minutes away, it's time for a prediction. With both sides in great form and playing such attacking football, I think we'll be in for goals here. A draw wouldn't be a bad result for either side, so I'm going to stick my neck out and say 2-2.

Find out what the Sport's Mole sofa had to say about today's match in our video preview.

Despite that prediction, Leicester will be confident of all three points as they have won the last four league meetings between the two sides. You have to go back to March 1989 for the last time the Cherries beat the Foxes, and that was in the old Division Two.

Eddie Howe is aware of the threat the visitors pose. "Leicester are potent in attack. They have a number of good forward players, but they'll also be tricky to break down," he told reporters ahead of the game.

"Home form is obviously important to every team; it means a lot for us to play well and entertain our own fans. Leicester have started very well and they are a side that we respect immensely. We look forward to hosting them."

Kickoff is just minutes away and it's a lovely afternoon for some Premier League football down on the south coast!

The teams are in the tunnel, the fans are in good voice. Stick with Sports Mole to see how this one plays out.

KICKOFF: Leicester City get us underway kicking from left to right...

YELLOW CARD! Seconds after kickoff and Max Gradel barges into Riyadh Mahrez. The Bournemouth man is booked, but the free kick from wide on the right comes to nothing.

Jeffrey Schlupp gallops down the left channel for the visitors and swings a cross into the box that just evades his waiting teammates. Decent start for the Foxes here.

That's a half chance for the visitors. Mahrez's deflected cross so nearly falls to Ngolo Kante. It's just a bit behind the Leicester man, he swings a leg at it but can't turn it towards goal.

DISALLOWED GOAL! Leicester win the ball from a Bournemouth freekick and Vardy pours forward. He plays in Albrighton down the left who checks and swings a cross in that Mahrez controls and fires home, but the offside flag was already up.

More pressure from the visitors as Albrighton's corner almost finds Morgan at the back post. Ranieri will be very happy with the way his side have started here.

Bournemouth show their teeth for the first time. Ritchie carries the ball some 40 yards without a Leciester man closing him down, and crosses deep to the back post from the edge of the area. Gradel keeps the ball in, then turns his way past his man and fires towards the near post, with Schmeichel turning the effort behind.

YELLOW CARD! Ritchie De Laet goes into the book for pulling back a Bournemouth man on half way as the hosts looked to break. Can't argue with that, and the Leicester man doesn't, accepting his fate.

It's an entertaining start to this one. Both sides have made mistakes with the ball, but it's being played at a good tempo. Mahrez has shown flashes of his ability, but the Cherries look dangerous on the break. Delicately poised.

CHANCE! First effort from Vardy, who makes a bit of space for himself in the box with a smart touch that shifts the ball onto his left foot. He then eyes up the goal and curls an effort towards the top corner, but his aim is slightly off and it drifts harmlessly over for a goal kick.

De Laet is a lucky boy. Just minutes after having his name taken, he grabs hold of Gradel's shirt and bundles the winger off the ball. Referee Neil Swarbrick isn't interested, and doesn't even award a free kick, much to the home crowd's annoyance.

There's a half chance for the hosts, and it's a funny one as Daniels bursts forward for Bournemouth and swings a cross towards the back post. He misjudges it though, and for a split second it appears its going to deceive Schmeichel and drop under the bar, but to the Leicester goalkeeper's relief it drifts out for a goal kick.

GOAL! BOURNEMOUTH 1-0 LEICESTER CITY (WILSON)

What a finish from Wilson! The Cherries had been enjoying a decent spell of possession, stroking the ball about in front of the Leicester defence. Daniels finds a bit of space down the left and the ball is played out to him, he swings in a cross that the Foxes don't deal with, and out of nowhere Wilson rises to bicycle kick home from six yards out. Superb technique.

Wilson's hat-trick last weekend against West Ham United was the first of his senior career, and it's clearly done wonders for his confidence. That was an incredible bit of skill, not many players would have even attempted that.

That's frustrating for the visitors. They win a free kick 30 yards out, Albrighton swings the ball to the back post but no Leicester man has made a run there. Lots of confused looks from the men in blue.

Gradel will be kicking himself. He collects the ball on the edge of the Leicester area and runs at his defender. Daniels sweeps around him on the overlap and into acres of space, but the Bournemouth winger miss-hits his pass behind the full-back and it rolls harmlessly out for a goal kick.

Bournemouth work a short corner that culminates with Francis delivering a low cross that Leicester hack clear. More good work from the Cherries.

There's no denying that Bournemouth are the better side now. Tomlin, on his home debut, is caught right on the edge of the area. He wants a penalty, but Neil Swarbrick points to the ground just millimetres outside the area.

Gradel takes the free kick and fires it straight over the wall. It's down the throat of Schmeichel but the Foxes 'keeper elects to punch. He didn't look sure about that, but it works and Leicester clear the danger.

YELLOW CARD! Leicester's Andy King is the latest man to go into the book as he's penalised for a sliding tackle on Tomlin.

Tomlin overruns the ball and crashes into Vardy. For a minute it looks a nasty one, but both players are straight up and onto their feet and play continues.

Now its two Leicester men crashing into each other as Albrighton comes off worse in an aerial duel with Schlupp. The winger is on his back for a minute, but gets up despite looking slightly dazed.

It's really stop-start now. Daniels miss-controls the ball and immediately signals a problem. The physios are on, but this doesn't look good for the Cherries full-back, who has been excellent so far this afternoon.

Daniels is back on, for now at least. Mahrez threads a pass through the midfield, his first contribution for a while, but Vardy is clearly offside and doesn't give chase. The hosts are in control at the moment.

Two minutes of added time here at Dean Court.

That sums Leicester up at the moment. Vardy drops deep in a bid to get the ball, then feeds Drinkwater. With a bit of momentum, the Foxes midfielder swings a pass out to the Leicester right where there's plenty of space for an attack, but there's no teammate there, and the ball rolls out for a throw in. Drinkwater stands with his hands on his hips, baffled. They're just not clicking at the moment.

HALF TIME: BOURNEMOUTH 1-0 LEICESTER CITY

Bournemouth hold a well-deserved 1-0 lead at half time. They weathered a bit of an early storm, but were the better side for much of the opening half. Wilson's goal was superb, a really acrobatic strike from a striker full of confidence. Eddie Howe will be a very happy man.

Leicester haven't made things easy for themselves. Vardy is far too isolated up front, and is being forced to come deeper and deeper to look for the ball. Mahrez showed early flashes of quality, but has been marshalled out of the game by a disciplined Cherries midfielder. It's certainly not over for the Foxes, but Ranieri needs to work a bit of magic at the break.

I'm starting the 'Wilson for England' bandwagon right now and I'm inviting you all to join me.

Bournemouth are leading, but they might be wondering if it couldn't be by even more. That foul on Tomlin looked like it was right on the edge of the box, and could easily have seen Neil Swarbrick point to the spot.

They'll be concerns over Daniels, too. He seemed in real trouble when he went down just minutes before half time. He finished the half, but we might be seeing Tyrone Mings for the second half, which would be great for Mings, but disappointing for Daniels who was excellent in the first half.

UPDATE! Looking around the grounds in the Premier League, Aston Villa lead Sunderland 2-1, Crystal Palace are holding Chelsea to a goalless draw, West Ham United are 2-0 up at Anfield, Watford's trip to face Manchester City is still goalless, and West Bromwich Albion are leading Stoke City 1-0.

BOURNEMOUTH SUB Mings does indeed replace Daniels for the second half

LEICESTER CITY SUB The visitors make a half-time change too as Shinji Okazaki replaces Mahrez.

KICK OFF! We're back underway!

YELLOW CARD! The Bournemouth fans are screaming for red here. The second half is only seconds old when Huth bundles Wilson over. Neil Swarbrick immediately awards a free kick, but Huth is clearly annoyed and kicks the ball straight into the face of Wilson who is lying on the deck. Wilson doesn't make a fuss, but both sides swarm the referee. After a long wait, he only books Huth.

There could be problems here for the home side. Mings, who only came on at half time for Daniels, is down and appears to be in quite a bit of pain. The physios are on, but this doesn't look good for the £8m signing.

It was a fairly innocuous coming together with Drinkwater that forced Mings down. The Leicester man appeared to run through Mings' tackle, and the Cherries defender's leg took the brunt of the force. He's still receiving treatment, and the stretcher is on. Eddie Howe is stood on the sideline looking rather concerned.

BOURNEMOUTH SUB Mings is stretchered off to a standing ovation from both sets of fans. You really hope that isn't as bad as it looked. Adam Smith is the man to come on in his place, and we're back underway after a five minute stoppage.

You have to admire how hard Vardy is working. He chases a long punt forward and pressures Tommy Elphick into conceding a corner. The set piece finds the head of Morgan, but his header is weak and wide of the target. Sign of a recovery from Leicester though, perhaps.

A half chance for the hosts as Ritchie plays Francis in down the Bournemouth right, and the full-back crosses towards Wilson, but Huth manages to get there first.

Leicester just can't get on the ball at the minute. You feel Ranieri is going to have to make another change here if his side are to have a chance of getting back into this.

Bournemouth's injury woes continue as Gradel goes down in a heap. He appeared to catch his studs in the turf and twist his knee. He's beating the pitch in pain, this doesn't look good.

BOURNEMOUTH SUB Gradel can't continue and is replaced by Marc Pugh.

A little fact for you about Marc Pugh, who has just come on for Gradel. He has scored in each of the top five divisions of English football, as well as the FA Cup and League Cup. File that one away for the pub quiz!

CHANCE! That's Leicester's best moment since the opening 10 minutes. Schlupp gathers the ball wide on the left and cuts in, unleashing a cross-come-shot that Boruc beats away at the near post. Could these be Leicester's green shoots of recovery?

LEICESTER CITY SUB Albrighton is replaced by academy graduate Joe Dodoo. Superb name, if the Foxes fans can't get a chant out of that I'll be amazed.

That Schlupp chance has reminded everyone in Dean Court quite how slim a 1-0 advantage is. Leicester City aren't out of this one yet.

YELLOW CARD! Bournemouth's Eunan O'Kane loses the ball in midfield, and in a bid a to recover pulls Drinkwater back by the shirt.

CHANCE! Leicester could so easily be level, and Bournemouth have Boruc to thank for the fact that they aren't. From the resulting free kick following O'Kane's booking, Drinkwater curls the ball across the face of the six yard box. Morgan throws himself at the ball, getting the slightest of touches, but Boruc is down bravely and smothers the ball at the Leicester defender's feet. A let off for the Cherries.

It's all Leicester now. Schlupp's cross eludes Dodoo at the back post, but the visitors are on the front foot. Backs to the wall job for Bournemouth now.

CHANCE! Schlupp is rampant down the left wing at the moment. His cross finds Okazaki on the penalty spot, he should shoot but instead elects to take a touch allowing the Cherries to swarm him and clear the ball.

Oh dear Dodoo. It's a swing and a miss from the Leicester sub who can't make contact with the ball as it breaks lose in the Bournemouth box. The injuries to Daniels, Mings and Gradel mean we're looking at about 10 minutes added time here, so Leicester are still in this.

CHANCE! Its Schlupp again who cuts in from the left wing and drills an effort narrowly wide of the far post. Not sure Boruc would have reached that.

PENALTY TO LEICESTER CITY

GOAL! BOURNEMOUTH 1-1 LEICESTER CITY (VARDY PENALTY)

Well it had been coming, and Vardy deserves a lot of credit here because he hasn't let this game go. The Foxes striker bursts into the Bournemouth box, skipping clear of two challenges before Steve Cook slides in and brings him down. It's as clear a penalty as you will see, and Neil Swarbrick doesn't waste any time in pointing to the spot. Vardy picks himself up and hammers the penalty into the top right corner of the goal. Boruc has gone the right way, but the power takes it past his outstretched arm.

We're going to have eight minutes of added time here. Either side could still win this. Grandstand finish coming up.

LEICESTER CITY SUB Yohan Benalouane is thrown on in place of De Laet.

YELLOW CARD! Schlupp goes into the book.

CHANCE! The Foxes are so close to nicking it here. Schlupp - who else - bursts forward from half way and dinks a cross to the back post. Boruc is lost, and can only turn it back into the box where Kante is waiting, but just as the Leicester man is about to pull the trigger Boruc throws himself at the ball and it spins clear.

Bournemouth have a free kick on the edge of the area, they work a routine that sees it touched short to Francis who drills an effort towards goal, but its deflected behind for a corner.

Leicester have the ball in the final minute, can they steal this?

Wilson wants a penalty but nobody else agrees.

FULL TIME: BOURNEMOUTH 1-1 LEICESTER CITY

The whistle blows at Dean Court and both teams will have to settle for a point after an entertaining 1-1 draw. Wilson's tumble in the last minute was certainly not a penalty, and though Bournemouth were the better side for large chunks of the game, Leicester City deserve a lot of credit for not allowing their heads to drop and fighting till the end. Both sides will probably be fairly happy with a point.

That is all we have time for this afternoon! Thank you very much for joining Sports Mole for what was an exciting affair between between Bournemouth and Leicester City that saw Callum Wilson take his Premier League goal tally for the season to four with a stunning overhead kick, and a spirited Foxes fightback at the end. Be sure to stick around for reaction, analysis and player ratings. From me, though, it is goodbye for now!
