Preview: Bournemouth vs. West Bromwich Albion

Bournemouth vs. West Brom

On-fire Championship side Bournemouth can continue their fine form by dumping Premier League side West Bromwich Albion out of the League Cup tomorrow night and reaching the fifth round for the first time in their history.

Eddie Howe's Cherries play host to the Baggies after trouncing Birmingham City 8-0 on Saturday - a record victory and one that made it four straight wins in the league.

They have climbed up to fourth in the table but changes will have to be made for the Baggies' visit. Steve Cook and Harry Arter are suspended after picking up their fifth bookings of the season, while Yann Kermorgant is available once more after serving a three-game ban.

The South Coast side haven't conceded a goal in their three ties so far in getting to the last 16, winning 2-0, 3-0 and 3-0 against Exeter City, Northampton Town and Cardiff City respectively.

West Brom, meanwhile, come into the game without a league win in three games this month after winning three on the spin at the end of last month.

Alan Irvine's men sit 13th in the table, but are just two points above the relegation zone.

In-form Saido Berahino could be given a rest and after Victor Anichebe's goal from the bench in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, he could replace the England Under-21 starlet.

Record summer signing Brown Ideye will also be hoping for a rare start in attack.

They are in the fourth round after a penalty-shootout victory over lower-league Oxford United and 3-2 win over fellow Premier League side Hull City.

These two sides have met twice in the League Cup recently, in 2007 and 2011, with West Brom winning both times.
