Midfielder has injured his knee.

Bournemouth midfielder Dan Gosling has been sent for a scan on his knee injury.

Gosling picked up the problem against Arsenal last weekend and missed Saturday's defeat at Manchester City after pulling out of the warm-up.

He will get the injury checked out by specialists and is a doubt for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Huddersfield.

"Dan Gosling is a concern for us," boss Eddie Howe said in his pre-match press conference, reported by the club's official website.

"We've sent him away for a scan on his knee so we'll see how he is. He didn't feel comfortable during the warm up at the weekend.

"We have a couple of niggles. You're always going to have a few niggles at this time of the season, so we'll see how those guys are.

"We know we're coming in to a busy period of fixtures. We need everyone in the squad to be ready to step up when called upon."

After a brilliant start to their Premier League campaign, the Cherries have hit the buffers in recent weeks, with four defeats on the spin.

Three of those have been against Manchester United, Arsenal and City, though, and Howe knows that his side are still playing well.

A home game against Huddersfield could be a good opportunity to get things back on track, but the boss is keen to avoid any complacency.

"We're on a tough run," he added. "The Newcastle game was a frustration for us, but in the other three games we've been happy with our performances.

"Huddersfield have had an upturn in results and we know it'll be tough.

"We need the atmosphere to be good here at Vitality Stadium, as it always is for our night games."

Cherries defender Tyrone Mings earned his first start of the campaign at the Etihad Stadium at the weekend and Howe was impressed with his display.

"We're always open and every game is unique in the Premier League," Howe said.

"The key thing is how you train and prepare.

"Tyrone's had his injury problems since he's been with us but he had a very good pre-season has waited for his opportunity and I was really pleased with how he performed."
