Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe confident FA Cup magic will return

Howe confident FA Cup magic will return

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has expressed his confidence in the FA Cup to again be the biggest competition in the country.

Howe, whose Cherries side take on Aston Villa in the fourth round tomorrow, feels that the competition has been eclipsed in prominence by the Premier League in recent years.

"It's sad that with all the tweaks to the competition and the changes which have been made it's not the prominent cup that it once was," he told the Daily Mail.

"The Premier League now has definitely taken priority, in my eyes. That's a shame. But I think it can be temporary. I'd love to think the FA Cup will come back. I think it can."

Howe's side could be a Premier League team themselves next season as they lead the way in the Championship.
