Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp denies exit reports

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp insists that he has no plans to leave the club in the immediate future.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has denied reports that he will leave the club in the near future.

Rumours that the German is preparing for retirement emerged following comments he made in the wake of his side's 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg, with the coach admitting the he will miss the Dortmund fans when he steps down.

However, Klopp has clarified his remarks ahead of his team's crunch clash with Werder Bremen, insisting that he has no plans to depart in the immediate future.

"I thought I've made it quite clear. I've said 'anytime'. And I probably said it a few times already. But nothing is the same in a situation like this," he told reporters.

"I don't know if I startled so many people with this sentence. No it's nothing to do with implying or preparing to retire. I just wanted to say what I said. That there will be a time where I definitely will not be coach of Dortmund anymore and hopefully, at that time, I'll be in good health.

"Then I'll have that chance to miss things because I remember what was nice and cool in the past. And then I'll miss this stadium, absolutely. But I'm not sick. Not yet."

Following a dismal first half of the season, Dortmund will drop into the Bundesliga's automatic relegation positions if they lose to Werder Bremen.
