Gotze: 'Dortmund will replace Kagawa'

Borussia Dortmund attacker Mario Gotze is confident that his club will cope with the departure of Shinji Kagawa.

Japanese international Kagawa brought an end to his two-year stint with Dortmund earlier this summer by agreeing to join Premier League side Manchester United.

Despite admitting that Dortmund have lost a "really good player", Gotze believes that between himself and new signing Marco Reus, they will be able to fill the void left by Kagawa.

"There is no question that [Kagawa] is a really good player," the 20-year-old told Bild. "But I believe that we, as a team, have the players to compensate for his departure.

"It is true that I personally prefer to play as a No.10, because I've played there in my youth, but we have Marco Reus and other really good players that can play in that position."

Kagawa recently opened his goalscoring account as a Man United player.
