Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon laments lack of quality

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon concedes that his side were nowhere near good enough across the pitch in their 4-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has lamented his side's lack of quality in their 4-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

The Trotters took the lead at John Smith's Stadium, but the Terriers responded with four unanswered goals as Emyr Huws netted a brace, while Mustapha Carayol and Joel Lynch also got on the scoresheet.

Lennon believes that his side were nowhere near good enough across the pitch, and has conceded that life will only become more difficult if they cannot find their quality in the final third.

He told BBC Sport: "I felt we were a bit leg weary and there was a lack of physicality and we can't rely on the defence to keep teams out.

"We were far too passive in the second half and gave away sloppy goals.

"We have created decent chances but we are not converting them. That's a concern and if we don't find that bit of quality in the squad it's going to be a long, hard season."

Bolton are 21st in the Championship following their defeat.
