Catania relegated despite win over Bologna

Catania have been relegated from Serie A despite claiming a 2-1 win against Bologna this afternoon, who have also dropped out of the top flight.

Rene Krhin had a good chance for the hosts early on, but he could only direct his header over the bar from Erik Friberg's corner.

Gonzalo Bergessio won the match late on with a low shot into the bottom corner, as both sides' spell in the top flight came to an end.
