Bodo/Glimt return to Eliteserien action this Wednesday night as the defending champions welcome relegation contenders Stromsgodset to the Aspmyra Stadion.
While the Superlaget are in the midst of a four-match winning streak, Godset are looking to snap their 10-match losing run, which has seen them drop to the penultimate spot in the table.
Match preview
Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt endured a slight dip in form over springtime as the club did their best to balance continental and domestic duties.
Reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League marked a monumental achievement for the club, even if it came at a cost of losing a few domestic games along the way.
Fortunately for the Superlaget, it did not take long for form to return, with the team going on to win six of their eight league games since the start of June.
As things stand, Bodo/Glimt are on a four-match winning run, which includes Saturday’s 7-2 demolition of Valerenga – their biggest victory since a 7-0 thrashing of Odds BK in 2022.
The defending champions have now scored 11 goals across their last two outings, and they also boast the best defence in the competition with just 15 goals conceded across the same number of league matches.
This is arguably one of the worst times to face Bodo/Glimt, and it has come at the worst possible time for a woefully out-of-form Stromsgodset side.
Godset have endured a truly depressing season which has seen them collect two measly wins from 15 Eliteserien outings – a run which has seen them slump to 15th in the standings.
Dag Eilev Fagermo has recently taken over the managerial position from Jorgen Isnes, but his job is not about to get any easier as his men look to end a 10-match losing run against the most in-form team in the competition.
The big task for Fagermo will be fixing the defence, which has already conceded 36 goals this season – 10 of which have come in the last three games.

Team News
Bodo/Glimt head coach Kjetil Knutsen is expected to stick with the 4‑3‑3 formation, which has proved immensely successful in recent matches.
Influential midfielders Hakon Evjen, Patrick Berg, and Ulrik Saltnes are likely to feature again following an impressive run of form.
However, defender Jostein Gundersen will not be available for selection as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
Stromsgodset have three men on the sidelines as Eirik Andersen, Jostein Ekeland and Elias Melkersen all miss out through injuries.
Marko Farji will lead the attack for the side, having already scored six league goals this season.
Bodo/Glimt possible starting lineup: Haykin; Gundersen, Bjortuft, Bjorkan, Sjovold; Berg, Saltnes, Evjen; Hogh, Hauge, Blomberg
Stromsgodset possible starting lineup: Myhra, Vilsvik, Valsvik, Dahl, Leifsson; Stengel, Heredia-Randen, Krasniqi; Brunes, Mehnert, Farji
We say: Bodo/Glimt 5-0 Stromsgodset
Bodo/Glimt are not only in the midst of an impressive winning run, but they are also scoring goals for fun.
That is certainly bad news for a Stromsgodset side that are struggling defensively and have conceded 10 goals across their last three matches. With that in mind, we are backing the hosts to pick up yet another big victory.
