The 27-year-old is now expected to hold talks with the Seasiders over a switch to Bloomfield Road.
The full-back has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Tykes this season.
Wiseman, who has also played for Hull City and Darlington, joined Barnsley from Rochdale in summer 2011.
