Holloway: 'Blackpool fans need to support club'

Former Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has urged the club's supporters to back their club, as furious fans continue to protest against Karl Oyston's ownership.

The Tangerines' final game of last season was abandoned after supporters refused to leave the pitch at half time against Huddersfield Town.

Supporters have continued to express their unhappiness at Oyston's tenure as chairman, but Holloway wants to see the fans return to the club as they begin life in League One next month.

Holloway told Sky Sports News: "They all feel aggrieved and like it's not their club anymore and they want the owners out.

"My suggestion is it will take care of itself eventually and you have to be a supporter and help those players out on that pitch.

"If you start winning games again and playing [good] football all of that should be forgotten."

The Seasiders begin their new campaign away to Colchester United on August 8.
