David Goodwillie wants to impress at Blackpool

Blackburn striker David Goodwillie hopes that he can get his career back on track with his loan move to Blackpool.

David Goodwillie has expressed hope that he can revive his career during his loan spell with Blackpool.

The Blackburn Rovers striker has joined the Seasiders for the remainder of the season, after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at Dundee United.

Goodwillie has said that he would like to get a regular run of games at Bloomfield Road.

"I see it as a breath of fresh air to get new teammates and show what I can do," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"All the lads have been great because I've settled in brilliantly so hopefully I can get my career back on track. It felt great to get a run out. I've been eager to get on and Fergie [Barry Ferguson] knows that so I'm glad he got me on when he did. I feel as sharp and as fit as I've ever been but it's up to the manager.

"I just have to wait for my chance and bide my time. He sees training and he picks his team from there so hopefully he will see me training hard and will put me in."

Goodwillie has scored four goals in 34 appearances during three years at Blackburn.
