Blackpool relegated to League One

Blackpool have been relegated to League One due to Rotherham United's 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Seasiders needed Rotherham to drop points if they were to keep their slim hopes of survival alive.

However, the Millers earned a narrow victory over Brighton thanks to Matt Derbyshire's early goal at the New York City Stadium.

The result means that Lee Clark's side are 19 points adrift of safety with just six games remaining this season.

Blackpool are back in action on Tuesday when they welcome Reading to Bloomfield Road.
