Blackpool defender Chris Basham wary of former club Bolton Wanderers

Blackpool defender Chris Basham says that his side will not be underestimating his former club Bolton Wanderers, who are struggling at the foot of the Championship.

Blackpool's Chris Basham has said that he is wary of facing his former club Bolton Wanderers tonight, despite their winless start to the Championship season.

The Trotters have picked up just four points from their opening nine games and find themselves 23rd in the table but Basham, who started his career at the Reebok Stadium before moving to the Lancashire coast in 2010, says that Dougie Freedman's side must not be underestimated.

"I looked at their team at the start of the Yeovil game (on Saturday) and on paper they look brilliant, they've got everything," the 25-year-old told Blackpool's official website.

"They've got [Jay] Spearing in midfield who has come from Liverpool, they've got [Jermaine] Beckford up front who looked very dangerous at Huddersfield last year and they've got [Alex Baptiste] and lads who played in the Premier League for a number of years.

"They're just waiting to click but hopefully that's not against us. We're in good form and we're undefeated at home still so that's something we'll look to continue."

After setting the early pace in the second tier, Blackpool have stuttered with a loss and two draws in their last three and now sit outside the top six.
