Dougie Freedman rues individual mistakes

Dougie Freedman believes that individual errors cost Bolton Wanderers as they went down 4-1 to Blackburn Rovers.

Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has said that his team paid the price for individual mistakes as they lost 4-1 to Blackburn Rovers in the Lancashire derby.

The away side were 2-0 down after 28 minutes, although an Alex Baptiste goal just before half time did give Bolton hope of a comeback.

However, two further goals in the second half for Blackburn condemned them to their third league defeat of the season.

"Individual mistakes cost us dearly. At 2-1 at half-time we had opportunities to make a game of it," Freedman told BBC Sport. "All in all, I'm disappointed in the result and the individual performances.

"We are only five games in. We have had a tough sequence of games but we have to look forward. We have to try and recruit, which is difficult.

"We have to bring in a certain type of player who shows enough hunger for this football club."

The Trotters are bottom of the Championship table.
