Birmingham City could sell Jack Butland

Birmingham City's acting chairman Peter Pannu could be forced into selling Jack Butland for the right price.

Birmingham City acting chairman Peter Pannu has admitted that he might be forced into selling England goalkeeper Jack Butland "to keep the club running".

Butland has reportedly been interesting both West Ham United and Everton in recent weeks, and Pannu has revealed that he could even be tempted to sell for a price in the region of £6m.

"Give me a £15m offer for Jack Butland, can I say no?" Pannu told the Birmingham Mail. "I have rejected £6m from Southampton [in the summer] but I rejected it when finances were okay. I might not be able to reject it if I get something similar.

"What I can say is that - and I might be blasted for this by the fans - no-one is for sale and everyone is available. As in any club. I do have a responsibility to keep the club running."

Birmingham travel to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
