Lee Clark praises his Birmingham City side's character after their late 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has hailed his side's character after their draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Having gone in front through Steven Caldwell, the Blues were behind at the break after Ashley Barnes and David Lopez had given the Seagulls the lead at St Andrew's.

However, Nikola Zigic headed in a stoppage-time equaliser to earn the hosts a 2-2 draw, and Clark was pleased with his side's attitude.

"I think we deserved something from the game," said Clark. "I felt sorry for the lads at half time as I didn't think it was a fair reflection.

"Once again it's shown that our character is not in question but we need to start winning sooner rather than later. We're not far away.

"We're all sticking together in adversity and we need to stay buoyant."

Birmingham travel to Burnley next Saturday.
