Gabriel Calderon: 'We must be willing to die in every game'

Real Betis boss Gabriel Calderon refuses to accept that his side are dead and buried in La Liga this season.

Real Betis boss Gabriel Calderon has admitted that his side must "die in every game" if they are to survive in La Liga this season.

Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Granada left Betis bottom of the table, 10 points from safety with 14 matches of the league campaign remaining.

"The players did everything they could to win. We're so frustrated and sad. We have to apologise to the fans and thank them for their support," he told reporters at a press conference.

"Every game from now until the end of the season is a final for us. Nothing's mathematically certain yet, so we're going to die in every game to try and win."

Betis have won just three of their 24 league games this season.
