Franz Beckenbauer wants Bayern Munich move for Marco Reus

Bayern Munich's honorary president Franz Beckenbauer talks up a move for Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus.

Franz Beckenbauer has said that he would "love to see" Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus join Bayern Munich.

The Germany international reportedly has a £20m release clause in his Dortmund contract, a figure which Beckenbauer describes as a "steal".

Manchester United and Liverpool are among those to have been linked with Reus, but Bayern's honorary president hopes that the Bavarians can snatch him.

Speaking to Sky Germany, he said: "Looking at other transfer sums that are floating around, that's a steal.

"[Dortmund] fight back tooth and nail. But that's the business, if you can get the best players then you have to get them.

"Marco Reus is a versatile player, who can play every position in attack. I would love to see him at FC Bayern, but that's for those responsible to sort out."

The 25-year-old struck 16 goals and bagged 13 assists as Dortmund finished second behind Pep Guardiola's Bayern side last season.
