Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Mainz

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Mainz.

Second-placed Bayer Leverkusen could lose their Bundesliga crown if they drop points on Saturday at BayArena against visitors Augsburg.

The champions' 1-1 draw with St Pauli last Sunday means they come into the weekend with 64 points, eight fewer than league-leaders Bayern Munich with just four games remaining, whereas opponents Augsburg are in 10th place with 43 points and held Eintracht Frankfurt to a 0-0 stalemate on April 20.

We say: Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Augsburg

It is difficult to see Leverkusen finding much joy against Augsburg's resilient defensive unit given they have struggled in the final third.

Considering the hosts know that the Bundesliga title will almost certainly be won by Bayern Munich, they could be low on confidence and may drop further points on the weekend.

Bayern vs. Mainz (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Hosts Bayern Munich could confirm their status as Bundesliga champions if they beat Mainz 05 at Allianz Arena on Saturday and if Bayer Leverkusen drop points on the weekend.

The first-placed Bavarians' points tally of 72 is eight more than second-placed Leverkusen, though they may struggle against European hopefuls Mainz, who are in sixth place with 47 points following their 2-2 stalemate with Wolfsburg last Saturday.

We say: Bayern Munich 3-2 Mainz 05

Bayern Munich could prove to be defensively frail on Saturday considering their backline is depleted.

While other opponents would likely be able to take advantage of the Bavarians' weaknesses, Mainz's form coming into the clash is poor, and the hosts may therefore move one step closer to securing the title.

Hoffenheim vs. Dortmund (Saturday, 2.30pm)

A win for Borussia Dortmund away from home against Hoffenheim on Saturday in the Bundesliga at PreZero Arena would significantly boost their chances of securing European football.

Hoffenheim are in 15th place with 30 points and may need just one more win to guarantee top-flight survival, but seventh-placed Dortmund will prove to be challenging opponents, and the visitors have 45 points following their 3-2 victory against Borussia Monchengladbach on April 20.

We say: Hoffenheim 1-3 Borussia Dortmund

Hoffenheim will likely struggle to keep Dortmund at bay, and they could find it difficult to get back into a winning position should they concede first.

It would not be surprising if the visitors scored more than once, and given Hoffenheim's poor record at home, BVB will be confident of claiming all three points.

Wolfsburg vs. Freiburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Fighting for a spot in the Bundesliga's top four, Champions League hopefuls Freiburg will travel to take on struggling Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday.

Die Wolfe will be looking for their first win in seven this weekend, while the Breisgau-Brasilianer will be hoping to make it three victories on the bounce.

We say: Wolfsburg 1-2 Freiburg

All of the momentum seems to be with Freiburg ahead of this weekend, and given the strength of their away record, they are likely to take all three points once again.

That being said, Wolfsburg will be keen to finish the season on a positive note, and after ending their losing streak last time out, they could make this game a close-fought contest.

Holstein Kiel vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 2.30pm)

In a crucial match for both the Bundesliga's relegation battle and race for Europe, bottom-club Holstein Kiel are set to host Borussia Monchengladbach at Holstein-Stadion on Saturday.

Die Storche are desperate for their first win in eight competitive matches, while Die Fohlen will be looking to bounce back after consecutive losses.

We say: Holstein Kiel 1-2 Borussia Monchengladbach

Kiel will be buoyed by their performance against Leipzig last time out and will make this weekend's clash a tough game for Gladbach.

However, other than their loss at Dortmund, Die Fohlen have been strong on the road in recent months, and they are likely to take all three points once again on Saturday.

Frankfurt vs. RB Leipzig (Saturday, 5.30pm)

With qualification for the Champions League potentially at stake, Eintracht Frankfurt will host RB Leipzig at Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday in the Bundesliga.

The Eagles are in third place with 52 points following their 0-0 draw with Augsburg last Sunday, while Die Roten Bullen are fourth with 49 points and occupy the final Champions League qualification spot with just four games left to play.

We say: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 RB Leipzig

Although Leipzig scored three in their last away match, they have rarely won on the road in recent matchweeks.

While Eintracht Frankfurt have found it difficult to break opponents down in the final third, their form at home has been strong, and they should be considered favourites.
