Bayer Leverkusen captain Simon Rolfes has revealed that he would like to end his career with Bayer Leverkusen.
The 31-year-old, who joined Bayer in 2005, has been linked with a move away from the club next summer.
"I actually think I will retire as a player of Bayer Leverkusen one day," he told Kicker. "There is no use for me in playing those final years of my career in Qatar or so.
"Alemannia Aachen, the club where I once started my professional life, is currently also not very much on the up."
Rolfes's contract with Leverkusen is not due to expire until 2015.
