RB Leipzig to rival Everton for Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo?

RB Leizpig have reportedly joined the race to sign Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

While the 20-year-old has been tipped to have a promising future, Barcelona are seemingly in favour of cashing in on the centre-back at the earliest opportunity.

Everton have previously been linked with an approach for the Frenchman as Carlo Ancelotti looks to strengthen his defence.

However, according to Le 10 Sport, Leipzig have identified the prospect as a potential replacement for Dayot Upamecano, who is expected to leave the Bundesliga title challengers before the start of next season.

Todibo is currently on loan at Schalke 04, where he has already made four starts and three substitute outings in all competitions.

Much could depend on how he fares during the remaining 13 games of the Bundesliga campaign.
